1) The XS400 (part of the TB118 Kit) is a true AC proving unit. This means that the output is 50Hz AC. So you are proving your testers on a source similar to the network that it will be used on. Other proving units are rippled DC (nothing like the mains supply)

2) The XS19 gives a consistent indication of voltage present. IE: if a voltage is detected the LED will illuminate and the buzzer sound is the same volume. On other products the audible tone and LED indication will vary depending upon the voltage being detected and the users grip on the tester.

3) The XS15 has the biggest USP for smart metering. The HiZ LoZ feature means that a “glow test” can be done before the cut out fuse is replaced. This checks that a short circuit fault has not been caused during the meter change. Other LED lamps can’t perform this test so it’s a huge safety bonus. Also colour coded LED on the base and side of tester mean that the indication can be seen in enclosed spaces . There is also automatic ghost voltage suppression. IE: no need to press the buttons as you do on others.
